2022 ACSA Schedule for Dr. Poulin

Dr. Maria Martinez-Poulin is the Deputy Superintendent of the Los Angeles County Office
of Education, the nation’s largest regional education agency, which supports and protects the education and well-being of 2 million children across 80 school districts. She has served in public education for 31 years and is a champion of equity and access. She has served as a Southern Californian Superintendent and held key positions in Orange County as an Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, elementary principal and high school assistant principal. She taught high school English and elementary school in Los Angeles County. Dr. Martinez-Poulin earned her doctorate degree from the University of Southern California where she conducted research on mentoring and leadership. She has been recognized for her service and dedication with the 57th Assembly District 2021 Distinguished Women of the Year Award, “Honoring Resilience and Excellence” for her work during the pandemic to support students and staff. She serves on USC’s Dean’s Superintendents Advisory Group.
