High school can be a tough time for students, and many will struggle with their mental health. They face challenges developing social connections in their school community, engaging in help-seeking behaviors, building life skills, & seeking treatment.
To address the challenges, the JED High School 18-24 month technical assistance program was created to help high schools and districts evaluate and strengthen their programming and systems related to suicide prevention, mental health, and substance misuse prevention. JED High School is modeled after JED Campus, a technical assistance program which has partnered with 375+ colleges & universities nationwide including USC, Stanford, UC Davis, and Santa Clara.
JED High School is a program of The Jed Foundation (JED), a non-profit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation's teens and young adults. Nearly 5 million students attend high schools, colleges and universities that use JED programming to support their mental health.
I look forward to meeting you at booth #411 and throughout the ACSA Superintendents' Symposium.
